Stress is a constant thing we all can’t avoid. It has been a part of life since who knows when. It is one of the reason why we, as a human being, is forced to adopt and become a better version of our self. Though stress is inevitable, it can be handled with ease and comfort.

What are the manifestations of a person undergoing stress? Here’s some of the symptoms of a person who is suffering from stress:

  • Insomnia
  • Low Energy
  • Frequent Colds
  • Having difficulty relaxing
  • Has low self-esteem, is always feeling lonely, worthless, and depressed.
  • Isolation from others
  • Mood swings

The aforementioned symptoms are just some of the many manifestation of a person suffering from stress. So before you ever experience being in a stressful situation, here are some tips or precautionary measure on coping up with stress.

Tip #1 : Replace unhealthy coping strategies with healthy ones .


Well, we all have an escape routine on how we escape stress. Some of us go to an adventure , go to sleep or just simply do what makes us relax. But little did we know that some of our favourite escape routine is giving us harmful effect to our body. Some of our favourite escape routine includes, Smoking, Drinking too much, Zoning out for hours looking at your phone, Withdrawing from friends, family, and activities, and Filling up every minute of the day to avoid facing problems which may TEMPORARILY reduce stress, but may cause us damage for the long run. If your escape routine doesn’t contribute to your greater emotional and physical health, then maybe its time for you to find alternatives to help you become a better one.

Tip #2: Connect with others


Study shows that the more lonely and isolated you are, you are more vulnerable to stress. Be with your friends, family, or loved ones. Spend quality time with them, if possible, Open up the reason you are stress. Opening up to someone doesn’t mean you’re weak and it won’t make you a burden to them

Tip#3: Practice the 4a’s


Learn to AVOID the things or people who makes you feel stressful. ALTER the decisions or the way you handle or face things. ADAPT to whatever is happening to you, look at the bigger picture that it is just a challenge. ACCEPT your problems that makes you feel stress, face them instead of running away from them.

Tip #4: Make time for fun and relaxation


Learn how to take a break, do not stress yourself even more. Just accept the fact that the thing you are facing right now Is there, there’s no running and turning back. Enjoy the company of the people around you, enjoy nature. Learn how to have fun.
